Mission:
To amplify LGBTQ+ voices and create community through the power of music. This is why we sing.
In 2008, a group gathered around one idea: Creating change one voice at a time. That’s how the West Michigan Gay Men's Chorus was born. In 2024 we changed our name to the West Michigan Voices of Pride to better reflect our mission. From the start, we have welcomed all voices in the TTBB range — male, female, nonbinary, gay and straight — to join in song as we celebrate music that connects us all.
The Chorus performs at a variety of events throughout the season, including a winter concert, a spring concert, and community events such as Festival of the Arts and Grand Rapids Pride celebrations.
Interested in joining us? We welcome new voices at the start of each season to come be part of why we sing! To learn more, contact us at hello@wmvp.org.
